Here is a puzzle. Don't try to put your mind to solve this puzzle, just listen to your intution.
A bat and ball costs $1.10.
The bat costs $1 more than the ball.
How much does the ball costs?
Yes I know the answer that your intuition says is 10 cents and it is wrong.
The correct answers to this is 0.05 cents for the ball and you can do the simple math to prove that.
